Japanese photographer Hiroshi Yamazaki's photo book "Horizon Collection". Joined Shuji Terayama's avant-garde theater group "Ceiling sill" when he was a member of the Nihon University College of Art, and served as a stage director, and has been working on stage photography and contemporary art since the latter half of the 1960s.・ Yamazaki Hiroshi was devoted to photography. "Heliography" released in the late 70's to 80's is famous. This book is one of Yamazaki's masterpieces, and it is a series that captures the horizon at the center of the frame and shows it without changing the composition. From the early work that was announced at the first solo exhibition in 1974 to the work of the 1980s, we recorded eight series that continued while changing the time and place. The picture of the horizon projected in color and monochrome has a beauty like an abstract picture in combination with various conditions such as sunlight and weather, and at the same time, it shows a taste like a minimalist art that is fragile and expresses it. I am fascinated by the variety of. Yamazaki's words, "From concept to photo, rather than concept to photo" (from the text, Masago Matsuoka "Line and Ritsu") echoes.
