Photo book "Slow Boat (First Edition)" by Japanese photographer Koji Onaka. Born in Fukuoka Prefecture, Koji Onaka participated in the legendary self-managed gallery "CAMP" founded by Daido Moriyama and Keizo Kitajima after graduating from Tokyo Photography College (currently Tokyo Visual Arts). Since then, he has held exhibitions both in Japan and overseas, including the gallery Kaido, which reopened in 2016, even though it was temporarily closed. He is known for his poetic and lyrical landscapes, including his early representative works "Tall Awadachigusa" and "Distance". This book is a collection of monochrome photographs taken all over Japan from 1984 to 1999. It will be published in China in 2017. In this book, I wrote that at the time of the exhibition in 2001, I had a thrill of rediscovering my own photos when I reviewed the past solid prints. Confronting the black and white works of , "I chose and edited my favorite cuts regardless of place or time" photo collection. It is a book that is highly evaluated worldwide, such as being released in Germany and China. Published in 2003, first edition.
