A collection of works by Japanese photographer Satoshi Serizawa “Gestation of a Dream”. Born in Saitama Prefecture in 1948, Tomatsu Lighting Co., Ltd. presided over in the 70's, Terakoya style photo school `` WORKSHOP '' where famous people such as Eiko Hosoe, Nobuyoshi Araki, Daido Moriyama, Masahisa Fukase, Isami Yokosuka were instructors, Satoshi Serizawa was a member of “Image Shop Camp”, a pioneer of a self-operated gallery created by photographers, who later studied in the Daido Moriyama classroom and later launched by Moriyama and Keizo Kitajima. In the latter half of the 70's, he held solo exhibitions at Camp and others, Shimizu Gallery, etc., held a solo exhibition at Nikon Salon in February 1981, and this “My Woman” series was published as a photo book in November. This work is based on the “Onna” motif from the 70s, and the person himself says, “Otoko's personal record including round memories and unbreakable memories” (from the Nicon Salon catalog Vol.1). A personal documentary that moderately and sometimes violently interlaces eros and sentimental aspects based on high-contrast monochrome images from Joe Moriyama.
