Dogs Chasing My Car (Signed) is a photo book by American photographer John Divola. Born in 1949, John Divola received his Master of Arts from the University of California, where he has been a professor since 1988. His work VANDALISM, published by British publisher MACK in 2018, is still fresh in our memory. He is known for his conceptual works that are somewhere between documentary and art, set in the ruins of Los Angeles. This book is a photo book published by American publisher Nazraeli Press in 2004, and as the title suggests, it is a dynamic collection of photos of dogs chasing cars. While photographing houses in the desert of Southern California, Divola encountered a dog chasing a car while driving through the desert, and in 1996 he tried to take a photo with a 35mm camera. When he confirmed that the dog was running toward the car, he would operate the car with one hand and take a photo with the camera outside the window. This is a typical Divola conceptual work, depicting the dogs running side by side in a dynamic way (even though they are sometimes blurred).
