A collection of photographs by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan's leading photographers, "Ikonta Monogatari". Araki started photography under the influence of his father, who was a geta craftsman and an amateur photographer in Shitamachi (Minowa, Taito-ku). This book is a collection of photographs taken by Ikonta (a spring camera manufactured by Zeiss Ikon), which became a memento of my father. The band says, ``Last fall, for some reason I wanted to take pictures with the Ikonta, so I kept taking pictures until it broke down.'' Fragments of Araki's daily life are laid out in the form of contact sheets, from the appearance of film director Seijun Suzuki!) to nude women. The design is handled by Akira Suei, who is also known as an editor. "This is not just the Icontat story of my photography life from last fall to February of this year. (From Araki's writing "Dedicated to my father").
