In 1970s London, when punk was a huge movement, the legendary live music venue "The Roxy Club" was open for only a few months, from December 1976 to April 1977. It was only in operation for a mere 100 days (strictly speaking, it changed ownership), but it hosted bands that still have many fans today, including The Clash, a punk band synonymous with the Sex Pistols, as well as The Damned, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Generation X, Buzzcocks, and The Slits. This book, "100 Nights at The ROXY," was first published in 1978, and this is a reprint (2016). It is a documentary-style photobook of The Roxy Club, consisting of photographs of live performances, audiences, and flyers. The photoshoot featured Derek Ridgers, who has captured London's youth culture, as well as Humphrey Murray, Richard Braine, Crystal Clear, Steven Davis, Peter Kodiak, and Ralf Jedraszczyk. The solid style of the young people, with their makeup and unique fashion, remains fresh and fashionably interesting.
