A photo book by Teijir Akiyama, a Japanese photographer, “Tsugaru / Mr. Tsuji Sensei”. After graduating from Waseda University's Faculty of Letters, he worked as a freelancer since 1967, after working at the Associated Press, and the photo section of the Asahi Shimbun. As a photo journalist, he repeatedly covered the depopulation of remote islands and starvation in India, and in 1974 John Shachuckski, who was a famous director of MoMA, and editor-in-chief of "Camera Daily" and numerous photographs. Shoko Yamagishi, who has found a home, selected the Japanese photographer for the first time in a full-fledged exhibition, "New Japanese Photography," and has also held a solo exhibition in Houston. This book is said to be a representative work of Akiyama, and shows various events of Tsugaru's daily life and areas that spent from 1975 winter to 1977 spring. There is always an intoxicating look, and it seems as if Akiyama, who was a city dweller, was sensitively taking in the pre-modern mood (style) unique to the region. It's a group of humorous photos that don't make you disgusted and will recall a story from that moment.
