A photo book of Japanese photographer Yoshikazu Minami (1935-), "A certain mountain village, a farmer". Minami, who suffered from asthma from an early age and tended to stay in the room, began shooting with the camera given to him by his father. Since the 1950s, I have been shooting themes such as children and young people in my hometown of Chichibu, and the scenery of mountain villages, and I have been cutting out various problems in mountain villages as a journalist. Received the 4th Sun Award in 1967 (the 1st was Nobuyoshi Araki). This book is the 1st photo book of the south, and at the end of the book, it is written as "a compilation of people who have been taking pictures for 16 years and are not outside the rural areas." In contrast to the rapidly developing cities after the war, what is projected here is the everyday life of rural areas that will not change. The "21-year-old bride's hand", which was also fascinated by the poet Teisuke Shibuya, who wrote the text, symbolizes the hard work. Young people who develop stray work and new values from the feudal customs of farmers and ceremonial occasions. Documents are the pre-modern rural areas, the state of farmers and the signs that they are gradually changing.
