A photo book "Japan Farmers" by Japanese photographer Yoshikazu Minami (1935-). Minami, who suffered from asthma from an early age and tended to stay in the room, started shooting with the camera given to him by his father. Since the 1950s, I have been shooting themes such as children and young people in my hometown of Chichibu, and the scenery of mountain villages, and I have been cutting out various problems in mountain villages as a journalist. This book is a collection of photographs following "A certain mountain village and farmers" (1972) and "Chichibu" (1978). A copy. While the texts by Goichi Matsunaga (writer) and Hideko Maruoka (critic), which describe the appearance of rural villages that are at the mercy of the times and the landscape that is disappearing, are sandwiched between them, life still continues and the simpleness of people living in everyday life. The look is impressive. Below is a comment from Akiyuki Nosaka (writer) of the obi. "While fixing the innocent appearance of the farming village as a copy one by one, I can see the tremendous transformation of the Japanese farming village behind it, and where do I flow? I'm worried about where I'm going. " The composition is Kiyoshi Awazu.
