The photo book "Circus" by Franz Karl Opitz (1916-1998), a Swiss painter and photographer. Born in Zurich, he studied painting from the 30's and began to work on paintings and prints, and has been active as a painter since 1940. With the birth of her daughter in 1953, she began to incorporate photographic expressions and was certified as a Leica Meister in 1961. This book was published by a publisher in Munich in 1960 and, as the title suggests, follows the pattern of the circus in Switzerland. Starting from the place where the circus tent is built, the composition is a mixture of on and off from the stage to the backstage, and the members, animals and spectators are projected. There is something similar to "Circus Time" by Japanese photographer Seiichi Motohashi, but a dynamic cut that conveys the liveliness of the performers and animals is also good, but a scene or a portrait of a girl who cuts out a casual off. I feel that Opitz's skill is condensed into such things. 15 pages of text, 73 pages of photo illustrations.
