This book is a collection of photographs published in 1977 at the Osaka Prefectural Gallery for the "Giant Star of the Photograph-Nakaji Yasui, Iwata Nakayama, Kiyoshi Koishi". From the Taisho era to the Showa era, and from the 1920s to the 1930s in the Christian era, it was an era when we were trying to break away from the influence of painting and develop and establish an art field unique to photography. We are focusing on the three photographers who were the central figures. Nakaji Yasui, who was engaged in experimental and avant-garde creative activities as a member of the Tampei Photo Club based in Kansai, and Nakayama, who launched the legendary magazine "Koga" that introduced emerging photographs with Yasuzou Nojima and Ihei Kimura. Iwata and Kiyoshi Koishi, who have been described as "tragedy geniuses" by writing "Early Summer Nervousness". Japan's leading photographic historians and critics, Akira Hasegawa and Ryuichi Kaneko, have listed this book in "50 Japanese Photobooks That Colored the History of Photography" in the magazine "Sage" published in the 1980s. Comes with a leaflet containing the titles of the works exhibited at the exhibition and the biographies of the three people.
