A photo book of the Japanese photographer Shozo Watari "Personal View / Range of gaze". Born in Yonago City, Tottori Prefecture in 1935 and a baseball boy aiming for Koshien as a high school baseball star pitcher, he said that he started photography while working at the Railway Bureau after graduation. And it is photographer Shoji Ueda who represented that he brought his own work suddenly and visited around 1960. Since he has been a teacher, he is an amateur photographer who has participated in famous contests such as the Nikkei Exhibition and has won numerous awards. This book is the first book published in 1999. Works that have been submitted to the contest are deliberately excluded, and are composed of black-and-white snaps that were not selected on the theme of "Gaze to the Front". Although I feel the taste of Shoji Ueda somehow, my eyes are nailed to a number of wonderful works that highlight the unique strength and unique perspective of Watari. The 9th Hayashi Tadahiko Award winning work.
