A photo collection of Japanese photographer Kiyoshi Niiyama (1911-1969). Kiyoshi Niiyama, who got a "parlet camera" in 1936 and started photography. While working at the Institute of Science and Technology, he designed and manufactured cameras during his career, later became an avid amateur photographer, returned to Matsuyama, and joined Asahi Optics (now Ricoh) from 1958 onwards. I will serve as an introduction to Hachiro Suzuki who was also an editor and photographer. Niiyama is an amateur, but has a high quality of work, and he has not given too much instruction to juniors. This book is a collection of relics published in honor of Niizan, in conjunction with the relics exhibition held at PENTAX Gallery. Shoji Ueda, Yoichi Midorikawa, Hiroshi Sasaya, and others who had close relationships formed a committee, and they were composed by selecting representative works of Niiyama according to age, such as Parrett, Matsuyama, and Asahi optics. Yagi calls it "Edward Weston of the East" as Niyama, which often shoots dead trees and stones as described in the title, but Togashiya says, "It is shaped but it has a strong feeling of empathy." It states that it is Japanese, that is, it is the authorship of Niiyama. (The Japanese Photobook 1912–1990 collection)
