A photo book "Waltz / Book of Photography by Number" by Japanese photographer Shinzo Shimao and others. This book is the 11th issue (12 issues in total) of the photo douujinshi "number", which was published mainly by members of the Department of Imaging and Photography at Tokyo Zokei University, led by Shinzo Shimao and others in the 1970s. The initial members are Shinzo Shimao, Satoshi Seno, Toshihiro Nishihara, Toshio Kawashima, Hide Umezu, and Keitake Uetake. Except for some issues, it was basically no theme, and each issue was published with a different editorial manager. A number of works that continue to pursue the "meaning of photography" that is not bound by the conventional framework, such as "what is photography", "what is to see", and "what is to copy". The premises were barricade-blocked, and it was published as an extension of the voluntary seminar held at Yutaka Takanashi's office. From issue 8 of this book, copy printing was changed to offset printing. The design and planning are also very interesting, and in addition to the members mentioned above, Yutaka Takanashi's plates and Kiyoji Otsuji's articles are also included. The unique cover design was co-created by Shimao and Hideo Suzuki, a photographer from the same university.
