Japanese photographer Shinpei Asai's photo book "The Beatles Tokyo". The Beatles came to Japan on June 29, 1966 for the performance. Asai and writer Shinichi Kusamori accompanied them during their stay until July 3rd. This book is Asai's debut work, composed with Kusamori's text, and is a 100-hour document that traces from Haneda in the morning glow when the plane carrying the Beatles landed to the moment of takeoff. From the scene of the famous JAL happi coat to the press conference, the live scene, the off-shots of the four people staying at the hotel, the room they spent, and the food. The Beatles' visit to Japan is impressive with the enthusiasm of the fans seen in the video at that time, but it is impressive that the photograph of spending time in an isolated hotel with natural light has a very calm expression. This book is a reprint of the "McARTNEY" notation on the back cover, and was created in 1986 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Japan's arrival.
