"Visions of Japan (Signed)" is a photo collection by Japanese photographer Nobuyoshi Araki. Araki has published over 400 photobooks since the 1960s. Rather than pursuing a strict "artistic" approach, Araki has continued to pioneer new artistic frontiers through photography, focusing on freedom, unconventionality, and occasional casualness. His work, typified by his diverse nudes and warm-hearted snapshots, is radical and sometimes sparks controversy, but it is precisely because of Araki's continued commitment to art that he continues to fight for it. This book is part of the "Visions of Japan" series, a collection of illustrations from the "New Angel Festival" series, published in the late 1990s by the now-defunct Korinsha Publishing. Its "eros of images" blends disturbing and seductive female nudes and portraits with still life floral images. The preface is by renowned art historian Shunji Ito. Art direction by Kaoru Kasai.
