David Hockney's photo book "Photographs of China". With his spectacular debut as a British pop art banner holder with Allen Jones and Kitai, British painter and contemporary artist David Hockney has been active on the front lines until today. Hockney has been taking photos of his friends' snaps and travel records since the 60's, and by the early 80's the number had already exceeded 30,000, but he was indifferent to the photos themselves. However, as the Pompidou Center in Paris began to be interested in those photos, Hockney concentrated on photo production with almost no paint brushes from 1981 to the end of 83. Then, in the early 80's, we will present Cameraworks, which is made up of polaroid collages and photo collages, and has pioneered the new frontiers of photography. This is a collection of photographs published at the exhibition at Nishimura Gallery in Ginza, Tokyo in 1989. This is a collection of photographs taken in China in the early 80's.
