"Long Vacation" is a photobook by Japanese photographer and artist Nanano. While working as a nude model, Nanano has also taken up her own camera and produced works themed on the relationship between the body and light, and the relationship between people. This book compiles her representative "group nude" series, which she has been continuously photographing since around 2019. In open landscapes surrounded by blue skies, the sea, and greenery, women of different ages and body types gather, forming one large group portrait while retaining their individuality. Here, the nude is not seen as something to emphasize the individual, but rather as an element that constitutes the form and rhythm created by multiple bodies overlapping, lining up, and separating. In the soft light and soft colors, the scenes in which the boundary between the body and nature gradually dissolves feel both real and somehow like something out of a dream. This photobook is a condensation of Nanano's unique aesthetic sense, as she associates the time when bodies can exist freely, liberated from the constraints of clothing and daily life, with the phrase "Long Vacation."
