"Alice from the Sea (First Edition, Signed)" is a photobook by Hajime Sawada, one of Japan's leading photographers. He began publishing his work in photography magazines while still a student in the Department of Photography at Nihon University College of Art, and after working at the Japan Design Center, where Tadanori Yokoo and others also briefly worked, he became a freelance photographer in 1966. In the 1970s, he captured the innocent figures of women in a fantastical style, like fashion stories, and his photobooks such as "Girl Alice," based on Alice in Wonderland, and "Nadia," featuring Italian fashion models, attracted attention. This book is a sequel to his representative work "Girl Alice," and is a collection of photographs taken four years later of Samantha, who was 10 years old at the time, taken on the Scottish coast and in Ireland. As with the previous work, it is accompanied by a poem by Shuntaro Tanikawa, and the binding and layout are by Seiichi Horiuchi. Comes with a dust jacket. Signed by the author .
