Japanese photographer Misato Kuroda (1986-), who won the Grand Prix at the Canon New Cosmos of Photography, a prestigious competition for aspiring photographers, in 2009. Since her student days, Kuroda has created nude works of her lovers and men with whom she has had relationships, depicting "love," "emotion," and "sex" that arise from intimate closeness, and expressing the pure feelings of women directly through portraits and nudes. This book is a limited edition catalog of 500 copies of the exhibition "Sawako" held at the gallery "SLANT" in Kanazawa in 2014. It contains works not included in Kuroda's first photobook "Sawako" (2011), which was compiled as an homage to pornographic magazines and featured her friend Sawako as the model, and consists of nude photographs taken in various settings such as on the street, indoors, and inside cars. "The white-cut, retouched areas looked as if the woman's private parts were shining, and when I thought about how men in the world get excited looking at naked women like this, the woman in the photograph seemed like a goddess. I felt that woman was an absolute being." (From the photo collection "Sawako")
