"Lilly (Second Edition, Signed)" is a photobook by Rieko Shiga, a Japanese female photographer who has garnered international attention. Born in 1980, she dropped out of the photography department at Tokyo Polytechnic University in 2000 and moved to the UK, graduating from Chelsea College of Art and Design, University of the Arts London in 2004. In 2007, she won the 33rd Kimura Ihei Award for her two photobooks, "CANARY" and "Lilly." Subsequently, she received the ICP Infinity Award for New Photographer in 2009 and the 28th Higashikawa Award for New Photographer in 2012. She has participated in exhibitions both in Japan and abroad, and in the spring of 2019, she held the "Human Spring" exhibition at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum, where she presented her new works. As mentioned above, this book is the photobook that won the Kimura Ihei Award. This book contains three series: "Lily/Damien Court," featuring residents of Damien Court and Tomlinson Close housing estates in East London; "Tomorrow Morning, Jack Saw Me," photographing residents of Calvert housing estates in South London who were invited to Shiga's room; and "Piano," featuring his younger brother learning to play the piano.
