"Children's Day Dads Limited Edition (Signed & Illustrated)" is a photobook by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan's leading photographers. This book consists of black and white snapshots of children and dads taken in 1968, when Araki went to the newly opened Children's Land on Children's Day, and color snapshots taken during a return visit on Children's Day in 1995. In this book, which is designed to be flipped vertically, the 1968 snapshots are arranged with children and dads separated vertically. The children are all photographed in close-ups of their faces, while the dads are photographed from a slightly wider angle, but both are framed in Araki's characteristic style, creating heartwarming scenes of a holiday. When it comes to Araki and children, his debut work "Satchin" (which won the Taiyo Prize in 1964) is famous, but this book was published in conjunction with Araki's photo exhibition "Satchin's Summer" held at Laforet Museum Harajuku in 1995 (the "Satchin's Summer" exhibition is available on VHS as "Document Araki Cinema"). It is also an interesting book because it contains photographs from the 1960s when Araki was working at Dentsu. Signed and illustrated by the photographer .
