"Retrospective" by Swedish photographer Lars Tunbjörk (1956–2015). Born in 1956, Tunbjörk used the harsh light of flash and vivid colors to capture everyday spaces of modern society, such as suburbs, offices, and homes, from his unique perspective. A student of Christel Strömholm, and following in the footsteps of color photography after Stephen Shore and William Eggleston, he is known for his style that quietly brings out the sense of unease and humor hidden within ordinary scenes. This posthumously published, large-scale retrospective comprehensively presents the entirety of this artist, who established international recognition with representative works such as "Country Beside Itself," "Office," and "Home," with more than 250 illustrations. It is a book in which a consistent perspective of re-examining the state of modern people and society within the stage of everyday life emerges.
