"Parole on the Street" is a catalog published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the Haeden Museum in South Korea as part of an exchange project between Japanese and Korean photographers. The exhibition, held from April 5 to August 4, 2024, was planned as an attempt to introduce works that capture the landscapes and people of contemporary cities from the perspectives of both Japan and South Korea, focusing on street photographers who work on the streets of cities. From the Japanese side, participants included Tatsuro Suzuki, known for the magazine "VOID TOKYO," which leads the Tokyo street photography scene, as well as Tadashi Onishi, Shinya Ishida, Ippei Kawahara, Kohei Kudo, Tadashi Yamashita, and Yasuhito Nakamura. It showcases the current state of street photography, which captures urban moments with a keen sense. By juxtaposing the works of the Korean artists with those of the Japanese artists, the daily lives and atmospheres of the streets of each city intersect, and the catalog highlights the energy of contemporary street photography and its relationship with the city.
