"Harumi Gals / Parco Views 2. (First Edition)" is a collection of works by Japanese female artist Harumi Yamaguchi. Illustrator Harumi Yamaguchi was one of the key figures who built the golden age of PARCO advertising, alongside creative director Kazuko Koike and art director Eiko Ishioka. She developed an interest in painting during her student days, and after graduating from the oil painting department of Tokyo University of the Arts, she joined the advertising department of Seibu Department Store. In 1969, she became a freelancer and was active in commercial illustrations for PARCO and others. She established an airbrush painting technique, and the hyperrealistic women she created with her colorful, gorgeous, and sometimes erotic style became a sensation, known as "Harumi Gals." This book is a collection of works published by PARCO Publishing in 1978. Supervised by Tadanori Yokoo, this is a collaborative work by a stellar lineup of artists, including photo parodies by Hajime Sawada, and texts by Junnosuke Yoshiyuki, Makoto Wada, Ikko Tanaka, Shinichi Kusamori, Ryuichi Yamashiro, Kohei Tsuka, and Sakumi Hagiwara. It features 100 representative works, including illustrations in which the artist himself is the model. First edition, first printing.
