A photo book of British photographer Stephen Gill. Gil continues to present works that captivate photographic fans, such as unique perspectives, beautifully sharpened prints, and creative experimental photographic expressions. This book is the first of the Hackney series, which is a masterpiece published in 2004 and follows. Gil first visited East London Hackney Wick in 2002 and was shocked by the daily lives of immigrants and asylum seekers selling scrap at the market. Gil then bought a simple 50-pence camera that didn't stay in focus or exposure, and then visited the area many times to shoot. Whites and blacks are mixed, junk is messy, undeveloped wilderness and graffiti-filled streets, people desperately trying to live in it, and beautiful flowers. Hackney, far from the glamorous and well-organized Central, is a symbol of London's diversity. A conceptual book that seems to be Gil, where a personal perspective and a documentary that depicts the unknown behind the scenes of England intersect. Limited to 1,500 copies. Autographed by a photographer. Published in Parr & Badger Vol II.
