"Lilly (Second Edition)" is a photo collection by internationally acclaimed Japanese photographer Lieko Shiga. Born in 1980, she moved to the UK after dropping out of the Photography Department at Tokyo Polytechnic University in 2000 and graduated from Chelsea College of Art and Design at the University of the Arts London in 2004. She won the 33rd Kimura Ihei Photography Award for her two photobooks, "CANARY" and "Lilly," published in 2007. She subsequently won the ICP Infinity Award for New Artists in 2009 and the 28th Higashikawa Award for New Artists in 2012. She has participated in exhibitions both in Japan and abroad, and in the spring of 2019, she presented her new works in the "Human Spring" exhibition at the Tokyo Photographic Art Museum. As mentioned above, this book is the photo collection that won the Kimura Ihei Award. This collection includes three series: "Lily/Damien Court," which features residents of the Damien Court and Tomlinson Close housing estates in East London; "Tomorrow Morning, Jack Will See Me," in which Shiga invited residents of the Calvert housing estate in South London to his room and photographed them; and "Piano," which features Shiga's younger brother learning the piano. Separate sheet included. Published in 2008, second edition.
