"RFK Funeral Train (Softcover)" is a collection of works by American photographer Paul Fusco. Born in Massachusetts in 1930, he served in the Korean War for two years from 1951. After the war, he studied photojournalism at Ohio University. Fusco began working for magazines such as "Look" in the 1960s and has been a member of Magnum Photos since the 1970s. This book is a documentary that captures the mourners lining the train carrying the coffin of Robert Bobby Kennedy, the younger brother of the 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. Robert was assassinated after a speech while running for president. As the coffin travels by train from New York to Washington, D.C., people of all races, including blacks and whites, gather along the tracks, waving, raising flags, saluting, and shedding tears. This is perhaps what Robert, who has worked so hard to eliminate racial discrimination since his time as Secretary of State, was doing. For various reasons, the images taken at the time were not immediately released, and were only unveiled more than 30 years later, just before the year 2000. This is the Trade Edition published by Magnum following the limited edition of 350 copies in 1999. Softcover version.
