This book is the first issue of the fashion and culture magazine "The Supreme RITZ," launched in 1990 (effectively the second issue, since there was an inaugural issue, Issue 0). Launched in 1993 by legendary editor-in-chief Fumihiro Hayashi, the now highly sought-after culture magazine "Dune" is also highly sought-after among collectors. Hayashi, who was also a respected figure among Ellen Fleiss, one of the founders of "Purple," which was popular overseas and in Japan at the same time, and who also had a strong connection with Sofia Coppola, who has established a solid reputation as a film director in recent years, used his network of fashion, art, and subculture connections to bring in a number of prominent artists. This can be considered its predecessor, and although the art director changed with each issue, Hayashi participated in each issue as visual (photo) director and also had a chapter he was responsible for composing himself (incidentally, Hayashi's partner, Kimiko Hayashi, who took over Dune after Hayashi's death, also participated as an editor). This issue features art directed by Gento Matsumoto and a number of unique visuals based on the theme of "paradise." Photographers include Kei Ogata, Yoshiko Kanzo, Yasuhide Kuike, and Katsuo Hanzawa.
