Born in Sendai in 1940, Sato dropped out of photography school and studied photography under the influence of New York rock photographer Bob Gruen. In recent years, his hometown of Sendai has been greatly damaged by the Great East Japan Earthquake. Yes, I photographed the tsunami scene on the Pacific coast that was damaged by the disaster and presented it at a solo exhibition.
