"Action Portrait 'GIG' Tokyo Rockers 1978-1986 (Acceptable)" is a photo collection by Japanese photographer Jin Sato. Born in Sendai in 1940, Sato dropped out of photography school and studied photography under New York rock photographer Bob Gruen. This book broadly defines the "Tokyo Rockers" movement as a series of rock culture movements, and includes portraits of dozens of indie bands, including Hanatarash, Keiji Haino, and Friction, as well as music scenes and behind-the-scenes snapshots.
