This book is a catalogue published in conjunction with an exhibition held at the National Museum of 21st Century Art, Italy in 2022. It is an expanded and revised version of the catalogue for the traveling exhibition held the previous year at the European Photography Museum. In the Japanese photography world, it is no exaggeration to say that the 1960s were Tomatsu's era, and the 1970s was Moriyama's (the 1980s, by the way, Araki's).
