Japanese photographer Sawatari Saku's "Girl Alice / Alice (Fourth Edition, With OBI)" is a collection of photographs by the photographer Sawatari Saku. After graduating from Nihon University College of Art, he worked as an assistant to Takanashi Yutaka before going freelance. He subsequently worked as a fashion photographer for numerous renowned magazines, and made a name for himself in the 1970s with his innocent, beautiful, and sometimes fantastical portraits of girls and women, such as "Dollhouse in the Forest," "Nadia," and "The Girl from the Sea." Since the 1980s, Sawatari has continued to work at the forefront of his field, primarily focusing on artists and idols. This commemorative book marks his first photo book. Based on the motif of Alice in Wonderland, the collection features a 10-year-old girl named Samantha, who was selected through an audition held in Alice's hometown of England, and all of the photographs were taken in England. The book features an all-star cast, including planning and editing by Shigeo Kuwahara, book design by Seiichi Horiuchi, prologue by Shuzo Takiguchi, and poetry by Shuntaro Tanikawa. A special edition featuring previously unpublished work has also been released in recent years. Published in 1976, 4th printing, with obi.
