"Exposure (Handmade Artist Edition)" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Kazuma Obara (1985-). Following the Great East Japan Earthquake, Obara suddenly quit his job and traveled to Tohoku, where he supported local disaster relief efforts and captured his encounters with people on camera, ultimately leading him to pursue a career as a photographer. This collection of works, "Reset Beyond Fukushima," garnered much attention, and his later book, "Silent Histories," which depicts the lives of children sacrificed during the Pacific War, was named a best book by TIME magazine. This latest work, set in Chernobyl, follows the life of a woman who was exposed to the atomic bomb. Obara's work incorporates unused film unearthed on-site to visualize her story, as well as the invisible scars and pain. It was later published as a popular edition by Editorial RM together with "Everlasting," which tells the story of the people living in Chernobyl through the decommissioning of the nuclear power plant and hints at their future. However, this is a handmade edition of "Exposure" only, limited to 86 copies. Signed by the photographer .
