"Wet" is a collection of works by Jurgen Maelfay, Belgian designer and co-founder of the publishing house Art Paper Editions. In addition to his work as a photographer and artist, Maelfay has also explored new possibilities in visual culture through his work as an editor and publisher. His work captures fragments of everyday life and reconstructs them with a unique aesthetic sensibility, emphasizing the fetishistic and sensual depth inherent in his images. As the title suggests, "WET" is comprised of a series themed around "wetness," vividly capturing wet skin, dripping fabric, and moist textures. The images, where visual intensity and sensuality intertwine, evoke bodily presence and sensory memories, inviting the viewer to experience unique emotions. Published in 2021 by APE in a limited edition of 500 copies, this work, with its simple yet solid binding, encapsulates Maelfay's aesthetic sensibility.
