"Shamanatsu 2011" is a collection of works by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of Japan's leading postwar photographers. Araki is perhaps the world's greatest photographer in terms of the number of works and collections he has published. He has over 500 photobooks. His recent works include "Moonlight Photography," a compilation of his early work from the 1960s, as well as re-edited and previously unpublished works. He also regularly collaborates with fashion brands like SLY, and his creative output shows no signs of slowing down. This book was published in conjunction with an exhibition held in 2011 at the Shibuya branch of Hysteric Glamour, the owner of Rat Hole. The "Summer of 2011" marked a special time after the earthquake disaster. In order to depict a reality that has torn apart people's memories and thoughts, Araki has torn in half and reassembled works such as "The Face of the Japanese," "Married Woman Eros," and "Bondage" to present a new work. Contains 150 pieces. Limited to 700 copies.
