"Posthumous Work: Sky 2 / 2: The Sky, My Ender" (Shinchosha Publishing) is a collection of works by Nobuyoshi Araki, one of the most representative photographers of the 20th century. Since the death of his beloved wife Yoko in 1990, Araki's work has increasingly focused on motifs such as flowers and the sky, and his style has increasingly focused on his view of life and death as a photographer. This book is the collection of works that most vividly portrays Araki's view of life and death in the 2000s. After undergoing surgery for prostate cancer the previous year, he felt his own mortality firsthand. Starting in January 2009, he began painting and collaging landscapes of the sky to express his feelings. This process continued until August 15, the anniversary of the end of World War II, and this book brings together the series. Incidentally, he continued this work from autumn through the end of the year, unveiling it in an exhibition at Taka Ishii Gallery in December, and a softcover collection of works of the same name was also published at the same time. Limited to 1,000 copies. Numbered edition and signed by the photographer .
