Japanese photographer Kohei Yoshiyuki's photo collection, "Document Park (First Printing, Red OBI)," features Yoshiyuki, a leading "voyeur" photographer active since the 1970s. The setting is near Central Park near Shinjuku West Exit. Back then, before the skyscrapers had even begun to line the streets, Yoshiyuki happened upon a love scene between couples on a night stroll on his way home from a shoot. What was a children's playground during the day became an adult playground at night. Intrigued by the transformation of the city, Yoshiyuki began frequenting the park at night, capturing close-up shots of couples' lewd acts with his infrared camera. Men began gathering to spy on the couples, and Yoshiyuki ventured further to Yoyogi Park and Jingu Shrine, where he encountered gay hangouts. This "park (at night)" documentary captures not only couples, but also male-male couples and even the men spying on them. Regardless of ethical issues, these unique works have caught the attention of photography professionals worldwide and have become enduringly popular collector's items. Includes a conversation with Nobuyoshi Araki. First edition, first printing (red band).
