"Tonal" is a collection of works by American female photographer Olivia Malone. Born in 1982, Malone has been active mainly in fashion and portraiture, but has also attracted attention for her delicate gaze on the female body and identity. This work is based on the theme of the relationship between "body and tone," which she has been exploring for many years, and features nude photographs with soft colors and abstraction throughout. Fragments of the body, such as freckled cheeks, crossed legs, and folded torsos, emerge in a gradation that changes from white to pink, red, and brown, and take on a texture like a sculpture or painting. Everything from light and shadow, the texture of the skin, to the blank space of the composition, harmonizes with visual poetry, encouraging quiet introspection in the viewer. Limited to 1,000 copies.
