"A Paris (Signed)" is a photo book by Japanese female photographer Miki Fukumoto. Born in Kobe in 1966, she studied at Osaka College of Photography, and has since worked as a freelance photographer in the Kansai region. She has held numerous solo exhibitions. This book is her first photo book, published in 2010, and is edited by Daido Moriyama, a leading Japanese photographer with whom she has a close relationship. It is made up of images taken between 2003 and 2009. The beautiful images capture the charm of the multifaceted and profound city, which is made up of a diverse range of people, including blacks, whites, and yellows, on the stages that symbolize Paris, such as streets, cafes, parks, and subways, with vivid colors, unique compositions, and an intimate perspective. In addition to the good old classical Paris that has been captured by such heavyweights as Ihei Kimura, this is a wonderful collection of works that also encompasses the atmosphere of a new modern Paris that also gives a sense of modern breath.
