1978 (Signed) is a photo book by Brazilian female artist Gabriela Oliveira. Born in 1961 in São João da Boa Vista, a suburb of São Paulo, Brazil, Oliveira is an artist who creates plastic art. She is also well versed in photography, having studied under the Brazilian photography master Arnaldo Pappalardo during her time at art school. In 1999, she participated in a photo art exhibition by sculptor Fernando Furlanetto along with Miguel Rio Branco and Casio Vasconcelos. This book is an edited and compiled collection of archive photos taken when Oliveira was 17 years old and entered a Catholic school over 40 years ago. It is a photo essay of Oliveira's childhood, when she was inspired by photography, just like many other artists.
