This book is a collection of works by Beijing-based Chinese man RongRong and Japanese woman Inri, a public and private partner unit called "Beyond: Recent Photographs by RongRong & Inri". They have been active since 2000, and have left behind many beautiful images using rich monochromes, from avant-garde works that overlap the images of both of them. Of course, they excel not only in prints but also in depictions such as installations. In 2007, they established the "Three Shadows Photography Art Centre" in the Caochangdi Art District in Beijing, and have been instrumental in discovering young Chinese photographers, leading the Chinese photography world. This book is a collection of works published on the occasion of an exhibition by the two of them at the Walsh Gallery in the United States in 2005, and is composed of monochrome photographs taken at the foot of Mount Fuji and monochrome and color photographs taken in Beijing.
