Graphics Films is a collection of works by Mike Mills, an American graphic designer, screenwriter, and film director. Born in Berkeley, California in 1966, he studied design at Cooper Union in New York and began his career as a graphic artist. In the 1990s, he designed album covers for musicians such as Sonic Youth and the Beastie Boys, and produced commercials for Adidas, Nike, and Gap, as well as music videos for Blonde Redhead, Pulp, Yoko Ono, and other artists. In the 2000s, he directed his debut feature film, Thumbsucker, and the hit film, Beginners, which was based on his father, and received high praise. This is Mills' first retrospective monograph, covering his work in the fields of design and film over the past 15 years. It includes graphic design, installations, publications, and film projects.
