Anna is a collection of works by Yelena Yamchuk, a female multi-artist from Ukraine. Even in the chaotic rock scene of the 1990s in America, Yamchuk created a unique world and became famous for her collaboration with the Smashing Pumpkins, the most successful alternative band as a charismatic presence. Recently, in 2022, when her hometown was at war with Russia, Yamchuk released a collection of works titled yYY, which compiles her personal archive of photographs and paintings. It was also nominated for the 2022 Shortlisted for the Paris Photo Aperture PhotoBook Awards, and is appealing for its creativity, which combines subcultural images of teenagers with documentary and artistic aspects. This work is composed of images of her friend Anna, taken over the course of nearly 20 years, and was designed by Studio 191, a New York creative company known for its graphic design for Louis Vuitton x Supreme.
