"Korean Boxer (Signed)" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Hideki Sato. Born in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture in 1953, he studied under Hiroki Nishiura, a photojournalist in Osaka, while in high school, and became a freelancer in the early 1970s. Sato's signature work is portraits of "boxers". In 1983, he was captivated by the fierce title match between Jackal Maruyama and Hiroyuki Seki, and decided that he had no choice but to take photos, so he wrote a letter to the president of the gym. Since then, he has taken many images focusing on the faces of fighting men, and released "Ote Kaomenroku", which also features a young Hidekazu Akai, and the following year, he released the photo book "Boxer", as the name suggests. And here is a book full of soul and vitality, composed of images of 120 "Korean boxers" taken in the early 2000s. Signed by the photographer .
