Veramente is a photobook by Guido Guidi, one of Italy's leading photographers. Guidi has been active since the 1970s along with Luigi Ghiri, who is very popular in Japan and continues to be reevaluated in recent years. If there is an American style built by masters such as Walker Evans, Robert Frank, and Lee Friedlander, Ghiri and Guidi have formed a unique Italian style that is different from that of America, Britain, and France. They view their subjects as "design-oriented," and compose illustrations and pagination based on various fundamental, essential, and multi-layered thoughts that could be called "architectural thinking," as well as a sharp sensibility for color. This book is a collection of works published on the occasion of an exhibition that began at the Henri Cartier-Bresson Foundation in France in 2014 and traveled to the Netherlands and Italy, and is like a retrospective of Guidi's major works to date.
