"Corrosion #1" is a collection of works by Hiroko Komatsu, one of the leading contemporary Japanese photographers. In 2018, Hiroko Komatsu won the 43rd Kimura Ihei Photography Award and continues to attract attention from both Japan and overseas as a photographer who is pioneering a new era together with Daisuke Yokota and others. After attending a workshop by Osamu Kanemura, Komatsu started photography late, and has gone beyond the boundaries of "photography" and "photo books," turning "exhibitions using photographs" and "the act of using photographs" into "works" in themselves. Her motifs are waste materials and dilapidated places, and the "something" she sees, encounters, and feels there is one of the joys of viewing her work. This is the first issue of "corrosion," a zine-like series published in 2020, printed on tracing paper like tracing paper. Limited to 20 copies. Signed by the photographer .
