"Fifteen Hours from Paris" is a photo book by Ellen Fleiss, one of the founders of the magazine "Purple," which dominated the fashion world in the 1990s. The Purple project, which she started with her partner Olivier Zahm, created the popularity of collection brands such as Martin Margiela and Viktor & Rolf, and led to the rise of artistic photographers such as Wolfgang Tillmans and Mark Borthwick. Ellen, originally the daughter of a gallery owner, was based in "contemporary art," and together with Olivier, her approach to "art from fashion" rather than the general "approach from fashion to art" may be one of the factors that produced unique works such as Purple. Ellen started taking her own photographs around 1998, capturing moments from her daily life and travels. This is a small photo book of images taken by Ellen during "15 Hours in Paris," dedicated to Olivier Zahm and the female artist Laetitia Benat, who also served as artistic director of Purple Journal.
