"Douou Salon" is a photo collection by Japanese photographer Kazuma Uogaeshi. He once photographed female college students on the streets of Shibuya for the magazine "Hot-Dog PRESS," which was popular among young people. Since then, he has mainly created portraits of amateur women, and also worked in the commercial world, taking photos for the hugely popular Fuji TV program "Iron Chef" in the 1990s. Rather than the "manufactured world" that is common in commercial photography, his photos capture the reality of the women he photographs, while also offering a glimpse into the photographer's imaginary (delusional) world. This book is published in the same format as "Douou Camera," published by Bunkasha in 2001, and depicts the "extraordinary world within the everyday" of women, typical of Uogaeshi. All works include an essay and shooting data.
