An Attic Full of Trains is a collection of works by Italian amateur photographer Alberto Di Renaldo (1930-2018). When we talk about the pioneers of Italian color photography, we have often introduced the names of Luigi Ghirri and Guido Guidi, but the true pioneer may have been Alberto. Alberto spent his entire life in the Udine region in northeastern Italy, where he ran a vineyard producing wine and fruit. His hobbies were trains and photography. His granddaughter Carlotta happened to find out that her grandfather had a hobby of photography, and discovered an archive of 12,000 photos in the attic. At the time, Carlotta was working at the London publishing company MACK, and when she made a dummy herself and showed it to the owner Michael Mack and other members, they decided to publish it. It's a miraculous fairy tale. He started taking photos at the age of 18, and these are wonderful color photos that give a glimpse into the rich lifestyle of the post-war era. Recommended for fans of Saul Leiter. 2nd printing.
