"Utsusemi" is a collection of works by Japanese photographer Kenkichi Nakano (1948-2009). The photographer always took photographs in Kitou-Dehara, Naka-cho, Tokushima Prefecture, where he was born and raised. He continued to take photographs throughout his life, supported by his devoted wife, even as he struggled with chronic illness. He continued to capture the children and their land on camera as a record of them, and published his first book, "Nukuizenka," in 2006. The works, filled with the love of the photographer who loved the land and the people, have been highly praised. This book is his second work, published the year after his death, which was unfortunately his last work. The appearance of the work is different from the previous one, and the works are immersive, capturing the essence of humanity, not only of "love" but also of "life" and "death." This wonderful book is a compilation of the best images selected from the nearly 3,000 images he has taken since the 1970s. Limited to 500 copies.
